Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is the largest Port in the South Island of New Zealand, the gateway for the goods that keep our region moving. With a focus firmly on the future, these are exciting times for LPC with major infrastructure developments in full swing and a strategy focused on innovation, optimisation and business growth. In helping to achieve this, LPC need two Human Resources experts to come on board.

The Senior Human Resource Advisors provide operational HR leadership, support and guidance to managers across LPC while ensuring the resourcing needs of the organisation and work programmes are met. One of the roles will have a recruitment and organisational development focus, while the other, more of a generalist HR focus - but both will: 

  • implement the human resources strategy aimed at creating an engaged and high performing work force;
  • ensure all people related policies and procedures are best practice and are executed consistently;
  • Work closely with managers to determine their needs and develop and implement appropriate recruitment, retention and development plans. 

To be successful as a Senior Human Resources Advisor, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or have a proven background working in HR within the commercial sector. A strong and empathetic communication approach; coupled with a sound commercial appreciation will underpin your success in this role.
